Finally a novelty from the Wizzard camp! In February 2003 MDD Records released a split 7" called "Metal Forever Vol. 1" featuring an unreleased track both from Wizzard ("Metal Nights") and from Sacred Steel ("Iron Blessing"). The 7" is limited to 1000 hand-numbered copies. Since one third of the edition was sold right after the release you'd better hurry up and get in touch with MDD in order to secure a copy.

Wizzard and Gutter Records have departed after almost three years of excellent co-operation. Moreover, the band has re-arranged its operations so
that it will remain first and foremost a studio band. Therefore all live gigs,
including and especially the one on the Headbanger's Open Air in Germany on 21
June 2002, have been cancelled. The band will now concentrate on new material,
which they plan to record in winter 2002/2003.

"Black Heavy Metal" has now been pressed and promos have already been sent all
over the world. The official release is going to be the 20 August 2001. Furthermore, the band is now seriously testing a bassist and it looks pretty
good. If everything goes well, there might be a chance to see Wizzard live in a
few months! Some plans have already been cunned with some of the best True Metal
bands in Germany... so watch out!

"Black Heavy Metal" has been recorded and mixed at the Beat Point Studios in Krefeld, Germany under the supervision of Bernd Groß and Klaus "5,90 DM" Spangenberg from the coolest German Thrash Band in the 21st century - Blood Red Angel. Supposedly no band in the glorious 80's had such a cool 80's sound as the lads managed to conjure on "Black Heavy Metal". Soon you will be able to read more details on what happened in the studio… Expect a studio report soon online!

So, meanwhile Teemu has relocated to Germany. He wishes to thank the old members JeeJee, Pasi, and Wilska for the great cooperation & fun during the years and wishes them all the best. A new line-up was recruited already in the autumn 2000, when Daniel (guitar) & CY (drums) from Thargos agreed to join Wizzard - again (they played three gigs with the band back in 1997). Just a few weeks ago the band recruited a second guitarist named Johnny. They are still looking for a bassist in order to let Teemu fully concentrate on the vocals. The bass on the upcoming album is played by Daniel.

Ok boys and girls, that's it. WIZZARD as we now know it, was laid to rest at Ilosaarirock festival 8.7.2000. Teemu will move to Germany, so there are very few reasons for the band to continue with the current line up, but watch out for the new strong Germany-based line up later this year. JeeJee, Wilska and Pasi would like to thank all those who have supported the band on it's way and wishes all the best to Teemu and the new WIZZARD members. Drink heavily!
