I'm Jarno Lahti, artist and graphic designer from Finland. Nowadays I live in Tampere, but my journey started in town called Seinäjoki.

Around age of 10 my interests turned toward arts. I don’t know exactly what kind of stuff I did then, I think it was quite typical material that ten year old kid would do. Couple years later I did mainly oil paintings of landscapes and I also draw comics. Around age 15 or 16 my interests turned into fantasy art and did lots of drawing within this field. In 1997 I started my graphic designer studies and three years later in 1999 I founded KAAMOS Studio. For all of who are wondering what the word "Kaamos" mean, it is a Finnish word for “period of darkness”, time here in Finland when sun doesn't rise at all.

I have listened to heavy music all my life and I simply love it. It is my way of life. Iron Maiden plays a big part in my history and the reason why I drifted into this work is Iron Maiden’s incredible cover paintings done by Derek Riggs.
